Hammurabi You’re Not
May 5th, 2010 · Comments Off
The year is 2022 (The first year you’ll be eligible to run) and you get elected as a congressional representative. Fortunately for you, your party really likes you (because you’re a brilliant rising star) so they let you write your first law in your first session of Congress. What do you want to be a new rule of the land? Why? Who is it going to affect most?
By the way, unfortunately for you, the President is someone you know…your middle school computers teacher! Remember that guy? Small world. He’ll veto any law which is too ridiculous or wouldn’t work in the world!
The Plan (Encore I)
Today is the next to last day to work on your projects.
Remember:
- 10 information slides after your Title and Outline slides, plus a question slide (13 total)
- Include pictures (with modifications from the Inspector)
- Include shapes
- Must have a table
- Include Object Animations (where appropriate)
- Include slide transitions
- Make it pretty!
The Plan (Encore II)
Today is the last possible day to work on projects. If you’re not done today you’re likely to lose a few points.

DogBlog QOTD
“I’ve been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master.”
Going with our theme of teaching others, what can you as kids teach adults? What do you know about that adults don’t know or have forgotten? Why do you think adults may not know about this topic? How would you go about teaching it to them?

Bob Dylan, a famous musician and the man who made rock and roll popular, once said, “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.” What do you think about what Dylan said? Do you agree or disagree? Why?

Some Kind of Genie

DogBlog QOTD
Suppose you found a hundred bucks on the ground. As soon as you pick it up a genie pops up and says that you must give 40 of it to someone else and you may use 60 of it for yourself. If not, you will have to spend the rest of your life in the lamp with the Genie. (Please remember that in this situation, only you find the money. Not everyone else in the class.)
Encore I
We’ll talk about your next project and finish exploring Keynote.
Encore II
Continuing work on your projects.
